eSoft Announces Hardware Upgrade Across Product Lines
Award-winning InstaGate and ThreatWall get upgrade to more than double throughput and eSoft offers 50% off MSRP Pricing Promotion
Broomfield, Colo. – Feb 16, 2010 – eSoft™, Inc., a leading network security company that provides integrated Internet security solutions, announced today it has boosted the hardware platforms on all its products. The hardware upgrade, available immediately, covers all of the InstaGate™ Unified Threat Management (UTM) and ThreatWall™ Secure Content Management (SCM) models. The pricing for InstaGate and ThreatWall models remains unchanged, keeping eSoft products among the most aggressively priced in the industry.
eSoft is also announcing today a promotion of 50% off MSRP for the enhanced InstaGate and ThreatWall models listed below through March 19, 2010.
The hardware upgrade, which includes significant RAM, CPU and hard drive increases, is being made in response to the exponential growth in Internet threats and in anticipation of keeping eSoft customers well protected far into the future. For example, eSoft's anti-virus protection now includes over 962,000 signatures, which is more than double the count from 2009. Similarly, the web is exploding in size and danger with 70,000 new malicious sites detected by eSoft each month and over 1.8 million malicious sites currently being tracked. Similarly, eSoft's database of categorized URLs has nearly doubled over the past year to over 350 million sites covering billions of web pages.
"We're taking the price-performance equation to a new level by releasing hardware improvements while keeping the price at the same low point," said Patrick Walsh, eSoft's chief technology officer. "With this upgrade, customers can stay ahead of the curve as Internet threats continue to grow exponentially."
"We're thrilled with this new upgrade," said Chad Tivet, Sales and Operations Manager with Complete Network Management in Louisiana. "Fortinet and SonicWALL limit the number of anti-virus signatures to between 4,500 and 25,000, but our eSoft customers benefit from full, in- depth security protection that captures viruses and 99.9% of spam—at an affordable price. Additionally, eSoft's SiteFilter provides the best coverage of the web in the market."
The InstaGate's unique dynamic UTM architecture is capable of protecting against the thousands of new viruses released every day, in addition to the hundreds of thousands of viruses that continue to live inside old documents and computers. eSoft has also raised the bar on secure web filtering using real-time updates and in-the-cloud behavioral analysis to keep customers from accidentally visiting the millions of compromised and malicious websites that make the web the single largest threat to network security.
Pricing and Availability plus Promotion The upgraded models are available immediately, and the prices are unchanged. Additionally, through March 19, 2010, eSoft is offering 50% off MSRP on all models except the InstaGate 404e. Contact eSoft or your local eSoft reseller for pricing details.
